FM Scriptstudio

Hello,

I have read that on the fm-arena.de forum there is a program called ScriptStudio, which allows to generate
Fifa Manager scripts for several versions of FIFA Manager. I would be interested in trying it out, as I want to
try some scripting for some older versions of FM.

Does anybody here have this program? I have tried to register on fm-arena, but the registration
does not work, as I never get the account activation email, so I wonder if anybody here is also registered
on that forum or knows how I could get that program.
Any help would be appreciated! :hello:

Thank you for the reply and for the tutorial about scripts. As for ScriptStudio, I learned about it at this page:

I hope we can reach out to someone with a working fm-arena account. It seems a very interesting
tool.

Okay, see.

Keep us informed of what you may or may not have done with it. :clin1:

Thanks a lot for the info, the tool looks very powerful.
I'll do some practice but I have to use FM08, because it's the only FM version I own.
I have a couple of questions and I hope someone can help me.

The first question is how to make FM08 "see" a script that I create.
For example, let's suppose I create a Copa America script. I have tried to put it in the script folder,
as a file of its own, but it did not work. Then I have tried to put it in the European Championship file,
as I read a few years ago on another forum. However, even in this case, after I overwrite the database it
seems that the competition is not seen by the game. Of course the same question would apply if I go on
and create scripts for the African Nations Cup, the Asian Nations Cup, etc.

The second question is if there is a way to change the number of countries available in the game.
As you know, for FM08 three FIFA nations were missing (New Caledonia, Comoros, East Timor). I managed to
activate Gibraltar and replace it with Comoros, but I didn't manage to activate Greenland and replace it with, e.g., East Timor.
Further, I also wanted to bring the number of available nations to 208 so that I could add New Caledonia, but there seems
to be no way to do that.

If we talk about the game with its default modding capabilities - then it's not possible.
The list of loaded scripts is fixed and you can't add new script files.
Adding of new competition types is also not possible.
So the best what you can do is adding competitions with existing type to existing file (like EC Quali or WC Quali), even if such method has many drawbacks.
That's the way how French (FCM) and German (FMZ) teams did they international scripts.

ScriptStudio doesn't do anything on which script does the game load or how does it load scripts. It only gives you a better way to write scripts.
Is it possible to write scripts with ScriptStudio? - Yes.
Is it possible to use any competition types ans save them as any competition file with ScriptStudio? - Yes.
But is it possible to add new competition types or competition files to the game with ScriptStudio? - No.

However, you may notice that ScriptStudio "includes" (highlights/suggests) some new competition types - like ICC, EuroNL, AsiaCup and others. These competition types can be used only with a Season 2019 Patch for FM13/14, since they were added in the Patch. It's not the ScriptStudio which adds these competitions, it only gives an ability to use them in the script.

It's not recommended to add new competitions to EC/WorldCup competitions. The game uses some fixed IDs from these competitions and if you change them, there will be mistakes in game logic. Also, the start and end dates of these competitions are used to display some screens (Welcome screen, Squad nomination, etc.) for corresponding competition.
At least, that's how it works in FM13/14.

It's not needed to overwrite the database after you edit international/continental scripts. These scripts are stored and read from "script" folder.
Maybe you did something wrong in the script.

It's not possible to add new countries, but you can replace existing ones.

Is it possible to add Conference League in FIFA/LFP/Fussball Manager 10?
